The links to the left are some of my compositions in mp3 format. I was written up and reviewed on Listen .com and thought that was kind of cool. Also made the mp3.com charts at #6 one time when Michael Robertson owned the company.

Larger Image of Synth

I compose on an Ensoniq SD-1 synth which has an onboard 24 track sequencer and most recently with a Yamaha Motif XS.

These days, I just play for fun, stress-relief and enjoyment. I do get active during the holidays, performing for local functions ie: nursing homes, hospital etc. I am really fun to have around a company during the holidays! I post a lot of music on Facebook for friends.

Did a live streaming video concert out of my home recently.

I also record compositions for inclusion as background tracks for work-related videos. Often much better than using library music.

One track on the left menu is an online collaboration with a physician friend in Chicago. I played the synth, recorded the instrumental track, then sent the resulting file to Dr. Syed Hoda. Dr. Hoda then added his vocals and emailed me back the final mixed version (vocals and synth) mp3 file.

I really had a ball doing that collaboration. Great fun for at least "one of us."

Musical influences: Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons Project, Mike Oldfield, Ken Nordine, Rick Wakeman, Emerson Lake and Palmer, (ELP) and Jeff Ling, my mentor and the man who got me interested in this technology.

My stuff is instrumental only. No vocals. Best used as background music for visual material.

(Except for this CD, made after reconnecting with Ball State University friends who lived in the Hurlbut residence hall. We get together frequently. The CD back cover was shot in my garage after our last practice GTG.)
